After receiving input from the public the City of Mountlake Terrace has changed the official names of two neighborhood districts.
The first, formerly known as “North Terrace”, is the area generally north of 220th St SW and east of I-5. The new name for this neighborhood is “Cascade View”.
Cascade View is mostly residential but also contains many of the businesses along 212th such as Albertson’s, King’s III, 7-11 and Urban City Coffee. Mountlake Terrace High School on 44th Ave W is also in the Cascade View neighborhood.
The second, formerly know as “East Terrace”, is the area south of 220th and east of Lyons Creek West (also know as “Terrace Creek”). The new name for this neighborhood is “Cedar Terrace”.
Cedar Terrace is best identified by the area around the Cedar Plaza Shopping Center as well as the strip mall with Sorelli Pizza and the Liquor Store. Brier borders the neighborhood the the east. Several large apartment and condominium complexes are in the southern part of East Terrace.
