During the month of November, Sno-Isle Libraries is celebrating National Novel Writing Month by bringing local authors to their branch libraries; Brier Library gets their turn on Friday, Nov. 15.
Richard Farr, author of “Emperors of the Ice,” is scheduled to appear at the Brier Library, 23303 Brier Road, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to meet and encourage teen writers and readers. Farr’s book is based upon memoirs of an explorer on Robert Scott’s second Antarctic expedition from 1910 to 1913 and received an outstanding book designation from the National Science Teachers Association.
Originally from England, Farr now lives in Seattle.
Later in the month, the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300-58th Ave. W., will be visited by Seattle author Lish McBride. The event will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, 4-6 p.m. McBride is the writer of young adult thrillers “Hold Me Closer,” “Necromancer” and “Necromancing the Stone.”
