The MTHS Sports Booster Club announced their student athletes for the April Athlete Highlights: senior Rene Bos of the Hawk softball team and senior Quintin Barnard of the Hawk baseball squad.
After an early-season injury, Bos has returned to the Terrace starting lineup, pitching and playing first base. She recently threw a no-hitter for the Hawks on April 22, a 6-0 win over Oak Harbor.
Barnard, a co-captain of the 2013 Hawk baseball team, is currently batting .288 for a Terrace team now preparing for postseason play. “He is a leader both on and off the field,” said Coach Andrew Watters.
