Student musicians from this school year at Mountlake Terrace High School and Alderwood Middle School, and alumni of MTHS from as far back as the class of 2001, will present a special night of jazz on Wednesday, June 8, at The Sound Check Bar and Grill in Lynnwood. Tickets are $10; doors open for this all-ages show at 5 p.m.
The concert will include live performances by the MTHS Combo, the Alderwood Middle School jazz band, the MTHS Alumni Band, MTHS Jazz Ensemble 2 and two sets by MTHS Jazz Ensemble 1.
The alumni band will include MTHS Class of 2011 member Skyler Floe, who will be starting a jazz performance master’s degree program in Graz, Austria next year. The evening will also feature an original composition by MTHS Class of 2002 member Mat Montgomery.
