The Mountlake Terrace High School jazz band will be playing at the Paramount this Friday. The event is Starbucks’ 15th anniversary of their ‘Hot Java, Cool Jazz’ program. Here’s a brief description of the program:
The successful Starbucks jazz program, Hot Java Cool Jazz, celebrates its 15th Anniversary at The Paramount Theatre. As part of Starbucks ongoing commitment to supporting the local youth arts community, this benefit concert features Ellington Festival award winning jazz bands from five local high schools with all proceeds from tickets sales going to support each school’s music program. Seattle area high school jazz musicians take the stage in a showcase of the city’s finest young talent performing with their big bands.
Other bands performing will be Garfield, Roosevelt, Edmonds-Woodway and Newport.
Tickets are $15 and you can but them online at STGpresents.org.
