So what’s with all the “Go Hawks” signs around town, and who is responsible for them popping up suddenly? Give credit to the MTHS Football Booster Club.
“The football boosters have flocked the city with Go Hawk signs,” said club president Susan Esparza. “You will find them up and down 44th and a few on 56th.” More signs were seen on 236th Street Southwest and on 48th Avenue West.
The booster club is giving away a prize Saturday for the best photo posted to their Facebook page of an individual or group with one of the signs. You can link to their Facebook page here.
The Mountlake Terrace Hawks face the fourth-ranked Kennedy Catholic Lancers at 7 p.m. Saturday at Highline Stadium in Burien, with the winner moving on to the opening round of the State 3A football championships. Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on the Hawks Live Sports Network beginning at 6:50 p.m. on MLTnews.com.
