By the time the curtain finally fell on the Washington State Thespian Festival late Saturday, drama department students from three Edmonds School Districts schools had amassed several state awards, honors and accolades, including qualifications for the International Thespian Festival (INF) to be held this summer.

Hundreds of students from 49 Washington state high schools gathered on the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg for the state festival, including contingents from Edmonds Heights, Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace High Schools. Attendees performed before adjudicators, attended workshops, viewed performances, heard speakers, auditioned for college scholarships and socialized with other high school thespians from throughout the state.

The INF will be held June 20-25 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
