MTHS and BTMS students win awards at National Technology Student conference

Students from Mountlake Terrace High School and Brier Terrace Middle School returned home this past weekend from the National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference toting numerous awards and honors.

BTMS Advisor Todd Johnston called it “our most successful nationals’ trip ever.”

In addition to the individual and team honors, the TSA chapter from BTMS was presented with the Chapter Excellence Award for excellence in the areas of leadership development, scholastic and educational activities, service projects, conference participation, team awards and general chapter activities.

The National TSA Conference was held last week in Nashville, Tennessee and attracted more than 7,500 middle and high school students from around the country to compete in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) events.
