Students from fifteen WESCO high schools came together April 22nd for a talent show benefiting a 17 year old Jackson High student, Kayla Kayla Healy.
Kayla Healy, a student at Jackson High, needs a double lung transplant. Kayla has lived with Cystic Fibrosis her whole life, but recently she learned that she was in desperate need of a double lung transplant.
The estimated out-of-pocket cost of the operation, not covered by insurance, is $100,000.
The fifteen WESCO high schools had been collaborating for several months in order to put on a charity talent show to raise money to help cover the expected costs of the operation.
The talent show consisted of over 20 acts by high school students from around the district, including Mountlake Terrace’s
Natalya Iese. Check out a video of Natalya’s performance below.
The talent show raised nearly $5,000 towards the goal of $100,000.
