MLT police shieldThe following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

Sept. 13

6500 block of 222nd St. SW. Burglary. A woman called to report a downstairs bedroom window was broken in a house. The woman then left the house and called 911.  Police found that many rooms had drawers that were left hanging open.

Sept. 14

7000 block of 220th St. SW. Suspicious vehicle. Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and discovered a woman passed out in the passenger seat. Police had trouble waking her up. Later the woman said she had just shot up with heroin.

5400 block of 221st Pl. SW. Theft. A BMX-type of bicycle was stolen sometime during the night.

Sept. 15

23300 block of 44th Ave. W. Theft. A woman reported the theft of her medications from her condo. The woman said she is trying to sell the condo and the previous day a real estate agent held an open house. She noticed later that night that the medications were missing from her nightstand.

Sept. 16

21300 block of 48th Ave. W. Found property. A bicycle was found.

Sept. 17

4300 block of 212th St. SW. Trespassing. A man came into a grocery store and attempted to shoplift some food items. He dropped the items when confronted and then became aggressive with store employees. The store requested the man be trespassed. The suspect was advised not to return to the property or he would be arrested.

5100 block of 217th St. SW. Burglary. A man reported that his brand new washer and dryer were missing from his residence. There were possible pry marks on the back slider door.

Sept. 18

21900 block of Highway 99. Assist other agency. Mountlake Terrace police assisted Edmonds fire and police with a vehicle, which had rolled over in the 7500 block of 220th St. SW. The male driver was belted in the driver’s seat and appeared to be uninjured.

21000 block of 44th Ave. W. Fraud. A business owner reported that a man called and told them their power would be shut off unless they paid a past due bill. The owner contacted the power company, who indicated the call was a scam.

21400 block of 54th Pl. W. Theft. Two plates were stolen off a vehicle while it was parked in the street in front of a residence.

22000 66th Ave. W. Accident. A vehicle backed into another vehicle in a parking lot. A witness provided the license plate of the suspect. Police contacted the driver of the suspect vehicle and she claimed she did not know she hit another vehicle.
