The Shoreline Community College’s men’s soccer team will have a strong Mountlake Terrace flavor as seniors Alec Somers and Ivan Melchor signed letters of intent Wednesday to play for the Dolphins this fall.

Somers and Melchor signed their letters on the campus of Shoreline Community College as men’s soccer head coach George Dremousis watched. Dremousis also serves as the coach of the Mountlake Terrace boys soccer team.

The Shoreline Dolphin 2015 men’s soccer season will begin in late August.

Somers and Melchor will be joining a couple Mountlake Terrace alums who had outstanding freshman seasons at the Shoreline school this past year. 2014 graduate Marquis Armstead was named to the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) North Region Second Team for his effort with the 2014-15 Dolphin men’s basketball team; 2014 graduate Hannah Baisch also received a NWAC North Region Second Team honor for her play on the Dolphin women’s softball team this past spring.
