Mountlake Terrace High School students Haeley Johnston and Paxtyn Merten earned top spots at the Washington Technology Student Association (WTSA) Western Washington Regional on Saturday at Jackson High School.
Johnston placed first in the Career Preparation competition, while Merten took home first place in Essays on Technology. Merten also earned a third place finish in Extemporaneous Speech.
Other prizes earned by MTHS TSA students on Saturday were third place by AsiaLee Donnelly in Career Preparation and third place by Jacob Dodd and Jake Peters in On-Demand Video.
The Terrace TSA students, advised by MTHS teacher Mark Burbank, will next prepare for competition at the WTSA State Conference March 26-28 in Bellevue.
