The Mountlake Terrace Senior Center is bustling with activity in the New Year.
On the second Friday of the month (Jan. 9), you can see a movie and have some popcorn. Tickets are just $1. The movie will start at 1:15 p.m.
Everyone is invited to a Community Breakfast from 8-10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 10. Enjoy pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage. The pancakes are all you can eat.
A new Pen and Ink Drawing Class will be from 10 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, Jan. 13. Learn to draw Pen and Ink stylized drawing flowers and animals. The instructor is Ginger Carson. Fee is $3/week. For more information or to sign up contact the Welcome Center.
On Monday, Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Center is planning a volunteer day to build raised flower beds along the back decks. If you would like to volunteer and have a strong back, tools and or carpenter skills, the Center could use your. Volunteers also are needed to make sandwiches and feed the workers. If you would like to donate for the materials, the Center needs to raise about $500.
