The City of Mountlake Terrace is recruiting one citizen to volunteer to serve on its Planning Commission. The seven-member Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council about community development issues. The city’s Planning Commission plays an important role in helping to shape the future of Mountlake Terrace.
The ability to attend regularly scheduled meetings, read and comprehend reports, and work in a team environment to develop consensus is desired. The Planning Commission discusses issues that affect future land use and growth including the Comprehensive Plan (20-year planning document), transportation planning, zoning, development codes, sustainability and more.
The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the Interim City Hall, 6100 219th St. S.W., Suite 220. This interim term runs through June 30, 2014.
Visit the city’s website for more details and an application or contact Virginia Olsen, City Clerk/Community Relations Director at 425-744-6206 or volsen@ci.mlt.wa.us.
