The July 19 course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the few first minutes until emergency medical services arrive.
Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. The course also teaches adult, child and infant CPR and use of an AED. Class is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and are held at Fire District 1 headquarters at 12425 Meridian Ave. S. in Everett. The fee is $70.
