Mountlake Terrace police locate, arrest domestic violence suspect

A man who reportedly fled from Mountlake Terrace police after assaulting his girlfriend was booked in Snohomish County Jail in early Monday morning.

Police booked the 39-year-old man for fourth-degree domestic assault after apprehending him near Lake Ballinger around 1:30 a.m. Monday. The suspect was also charged with preventing the reporting of a domestic violence incident after he tried to stop his girlfriend from calling the police.

Edmonds police assisted by deploying K9 units to search for the suspect.

According to Mountlake Terrace Police Chief Pete Caw, the incident occurred in Mountlake Terrace, but it is unknown at this time if the man is a Mountlake Terrace resident.
