Here are a selection of recent reports from the Mountlake Terrace Police Department.
Attempted burglary
November 3: An attempted burglary occurred at an apartment in the Creekside Apartment complex near 44th Ave W and 236th St SW. The person occupying the apartment was not home at the time but came home to find the sliding door and screen damaged.
Theft of license plate tabs
On November 8 license plate tabs were stolen off a vehicle at the Andorra Estates apartments near 228th St SW and Lakeview Drive.
Dumpster fire
On November 8, police and fire responded to a call about a dumpster fire at the Terrace Heights apartments near 47th Ave W and 217th St SW. The only two bags found in the dumpster were smoldering. Upon inspection, it appeared as if someone had bagged and thrown out used ashes from their fireplace.
Harassment
Around noon on Novemebr 8 Luis Moscoso arrived at his campaign office near 228th St SW and 44th Ave W and saw one of his campaign signs tied to a tree to form a cross. Moscoso said that he has heard disparaging and discriminatory remarks about his race during his campaign and that this may be some form of hate speech.
Drug paraphernalia found
A marijuana pipe with burnt marijuana residue was found at Mountlake Terrace High School.
Car accident
On November 11 around 8:30 am, an accident occurred between a motorcycle and a BMW at the intersection of 220th St SW and 66th Ave W. Click here for more details and photos of the accident scene.
