A back window to a parked vehicle was reported broken in the 4400 block of 212th Street Southwest. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Two men got into a fight in a vehicle in the 5500 block of 238th Street Southwest. Officers found the two men actively fighting each other inside the vehicle. A woman present was trying to get them to stop. Both men were intoxicated. Medics were called to the scene to look over the two men. The men continued to fight on and off with officers there. One of the men told an officer he was going to call the police. When officers told him they were the police, he responded no they were not and that they were kidnapping him. That man was involuntarily taken to Swedish Edmonds. The other man was given a courtesy ride home.
Oct. 16
A business’s locked mailbox was pried open in the 6500 block of 218th Street Southwest. Nothing was taken.
A theft was reported in the 4300 block of 212th Street Southwest. A store employee found a half-consumed bottle of whisky on the shelves. It is unknown when the whisky was consumed or who drank it.
A window to a classroom at Cedar Way Elementary was broken with an unknown object.
Oct. 17
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 5500 block of 220th Street Southwest.
A vehicle crashed into a vacant house in the 4900 block of 217th Street Southwest. The airbags had deployed in the vehicle. The driver was not at the scene, but was located by officers. He smelled like alcohol and had watery eyes. He was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.
Oct. 18
Officers were dispatched to a collision in the 21900 block of 52nd Avenue West. A man reported that a red car crashed into two of his vehicles parked along 52nd Avenue West. The woman who had been driving the red car was there when officers responded. She had watery eyes and would begin crying when the officers spoke to her. She said she didn’t know what happened, but that she went over the center line because she was texting her boss. She volunteered to give a breath test, which showed 0.00 blood alcohol concentration. Inside her vehicle, officers located an orange container containing residue that the driver identified as a butane hash oil substance. A warrant was obtained for a blood draw and she was medically cleared for booking.
A license plate was stolen off of a vehicle in the 5000 block of 239th Place Southwest.
Oct. 19
A Honda generator was stolen from the 5500 block of 244th Street Southwest. The generator had been chained up and covered in the bed of a truck. The eyelet where the chain was secured had been cut.
A passerby reported an abandoned trailer in the 21400 block of 46th Place West. The reporting party said the trailer had been there for months. The responding officer ran the plate and it was listed as stolen from a Kenmore business. The business owner was contacted, who said the trailer had been taken over by the insurance company. The trailer was impounded.
Oct. 20
A man called to report his wife was “drunk, out of control and threatening to burn down the house” in the 24000 block of 59th Place Southwest. Officers arrived and contacted the wife, who said she had gotten into a fight with her husband. She was visibly intoxicated and sitting on the kitchen floor. There were no signs of assault on either the husband or wife. The wife agreed to go to bed. The husband decided to go to his parents’ house for the evening.
A car was reported stolen from the 22100 block of 46th Place West. The car’s owner said he has both sets of keys in his possession.
