Mountlake Terrace police blotter: Nov. 17-27

Nov. 17
A man came to the Mountlake Terrace Police Department to report incidents of harassment. He said his neighbor harasses him by “screaming and swearing” at him for having a loud diesel truck. Officers contacted the neighbor and they said the exhaust would “permeate” their yard and is very loud when idling.

Nov. 18
A license plate was found in the 22300 block of 44th Avenue West. The plate was not reported stolen.

Nov. 20
A vehicle was driving up a hill on 244th Street Southwest. Near the crest of the hill, the vehicle lost power and began rolling backwards. It struck a legally parked, unoccupied vehicle.

Nov. 22
An incident of mail theft was reported in the 4500 block of 242nd Street Southwest.

A jacket containing a set of keys and a wallet was taken from a building near the intersection of 228th Street Southwest and 48th Avenue West.

A large commercial fan was reported stolen from a business in the 22300 block of 70th Avenue West.

An incident of shoplifting was reported in the 21000 block of 44th Avenue West. Vehicle brake parts were taken while employees were in the back collecting tools that the customer would need to replace the brakes. When the employee returned to the counter, the parts and customer were gone.

Nov. 23
A woman came to the Mountlake Terrace Police Department to report parking violations she received for an old plate on her vehicle. She said her plates were changed in 2010. She said she removed the old plates and didn’t know what she did with them. She doesn’t know who used her old plates and got the parking violations.

A theft was reported in the 7100 block of 220th Street Southwest.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 7100 block of 220th Street Southwest. Several tools that the owner uses for work were taken.

Nov. 24
A vehicle theft was reported in the 22900 block of 55th Avenue West. The vehicle had been parked in a driveway when it was taken.

A truck was reported stolen from the 21400 block of 52nd Avenue West.

A loud argument was reported in the 4500 block of 221st Street Southwest. The neighbor called to report the argument because one of the men appeared to be drunk and was trying to drive away from the residence.

Nov. 25
A theft was reported at a store in the 21900 block of 66th Avenue West. A case of beer was stolen.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 21800 block of 55th Avenue West.

Nov. 27
A physical domestic dispute was reported in the 22100 block of 67th Place West. The suspect resisted arrest and shouted racist and otherwise offensive slurs at the offers conducting the arrest.
