Nov. 14

23800 block 54th Avenue West: A woman reported finding a pile of stolen mail on the ground while she was walking her dog. She said that some of the mail was her own, and brought it to her house before contacting the police.

4200 block 236th Street Southwest: A man said his rental vehicle was prowled while it was parked near his residence. The vehicle’s front, driver-side small window was smashed in to gain entry to the vehicle and the dash-mounted Lyft sign was stolen.

5000 block 243rd Street Southwest: A suspicious man pretending to rake leaves was reported to have attempted to enter a residence. According to the homeowners, the man attempted to enter their home while one of them was in the residence. The man then noticed the home’s security cameras and left the scene.

Nov. 16

4300 block 212th Street Southwest: A woman received a warning for possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a reported vehicle prowl in progress. She said her and her husband were living out of the vehicle in question.

220th Street Southwest/66th Avenue West: Police responded to a hit-and-run collision after a man reported another driver struck the passenger side of his vehicle.  According to the man, the suspect driver said he could not find his insurance information and then drove away. Damage to the vehicle was valued at $1,000.

4200 block 220th Street Southwest: Police responded to a hit-and-run collision after a couple reported someone drove through their yard, hit a fire hydrant and street sign. No damage was caused to the fire hydrant. Police recovered broken pieces of the suspect vehicle.

Nov. 17

66th Avenue West/210th Street Southwest: Mountlake Terrace police assisted the Lynnwood Police Department in apprehending a suspect driver involved in a DUI-related hit-and-run collision.

6000 block 244th Street Southwest: A vehicle that was previously reported stolen was recovered at Studio 6.

Nov. 18

6000 block 244th Street Southwest: A woman reportedly stole multiple items from Gene Juarez Academy. According to the employees, the woman and her mother came in to make an appointment, but none were available. After returning to the store for a second attempt to make an appointment, one woman took several items valued at $87.49, placed them in her bag and left. When police contacted the mother, she denied stealing the items, but said her daughter — who she said was a drug user — might have stolen the items, but was on her way to Seattle. Police reported a probable cause to arrest the woman for third-degree theft.

4300 block 212th Street Southwest: A vehicle was prowled in the Safeway parking lot. The owner noticed the vehicle was prowled when the car would not start due to the vehicle fob missing. The owner also said an overnight bag with month’s supply of contact lenses, various makeup items, phone charger and two days worth of clothing were missing.

4700 block 220th Street Southwest: A man said that the rear sliding glass door to his residence was smashed. No suspicious items linked to the damage were found.

Nov. 19

23300 block 43rd Place West: A man reported his vehicle was prowled overnight while it was parked near his residence. According to the man, the unknown suspect(s) opened the canopy to his truck and stole his work tools. No damage occurred to the truck. Stolen items include a Porter Cable air compressor, saw and yellow tote all inscribed with “OFC, Inc” in orange paint.

Nov. 20

4300 block 212th Street Southwest: A man was trespassed from Safeway after he was loitering near the store’s entrance and playing a guitar. According to store employees, the man was previously trespassed from the store a year ago for similar behavior.

5500 block 236th Street Southwest: A woman was arrested for DUI after police responded to a hit-and-run collision. The driver was contacted during a traffic stop near 48th Avenue West and 244th Street Southwest. While searching her vehicle, police located multiple pills that turned out to be ibuprofen and not a controlled substance.

22200 block 56th Avenue West: A burglary occurred at Evergreen Playfields. Someone broke into a storage room near the female restroom. Speakers were reported to have been stolen.

4800 block 221st Street Southwest: Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance between a man and woman who were arguing over their infant son.

23400 block 52nd Avenue West: A man reported rims/tires were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked near his residence. The stolen rims/tires were stored inside the vehicle at the time of the theft.

Nov. 21

5400 block 212th Street Southwest: Police responded to a domestic disturbance between two brothers. The two brothers had been mutually wrestling when they stopped to eat dinner. The victim reported his brother flipped a plate of food off the table that hit him in the head, leaving a small scratch. He denied medical attention.

22700 block 44th Avenue: A man reported his business had been broken into after he returned to find the door frame broken and items missing. Damage to the splintered door frame made it unable to close the door properly.

22400 block 44th Avenue West: An employee at Sorelli Pizza reported finding the restaurant’s back door left open and damaged. Items reported stolen include eight iPad minis, a Lenovo IdeaPad laptop, a HP laptop and two $10 rolls of quarters. The stolen items were valued at $6,120. The damage to the door was valued $800.

22700 block 44th Avenue West: Multiple businesses in Mountlake Terrace Plaza were reported to have been burglarized, with three businesses’ doors pried open and damaged. Damage done during the incident was valued at $300.

21500 block 48th Avenue West: A woman said her vehicle was stolen from her driveway overnight.

58th Avenue West/220th Street southwest: Two stolen vehicles were recovered after they were involved in a hit-and-run collision. Both vehicle owners said they did not know that their vehicles were stolen, and that neither had given anyone permission to use them. One vehicle reportedly belonged to a Lynnwood resident.

Nov. 22

21900 block Highway 99: A counterfeit $50 bill was confiscated at Red Dragon Casino. The man who used the bill denied knowing it was a counterfeit.

22800 block 44th Avenue West: A man was arrested for third-degree theft after he was reported to have shoplifted from QFC. According to the store employees, the man grabbed multiple items and left the store without stopping to pay. Stolen items were valued at $21.26. Additionally, the man had a stolen debit card in his possession that did not belong to him.

5900 block 232nd Street Southwest: A woman came into the Mountlake Terrace Police Department to report that she was being harassed by her abusive, estranged husband. She said she wants to end the relationship, but he keeps texting and calling her. Police contacted the man and informed him of the woman’s decision, and she said she would look into getting a no-contact order against him.
