March 4
A hit and run was reported in the 22800 block of Lakeview Drive. A car’s owner showed an officer damage to her left rear tail light. The responding officer said it looks like a projectile like a rock of a BB pellet struck the lens and cracked it. No suspects or leads at this time.
March 5
A man reported damage to his vehicle in the 4100 block of 212th Street Southwest. The front passenger quarter panel was pushed in and it jammed the passenger door shut. He said he saw two girls playing with a shopping cart in the parking lot. He couldn’t prove they caused the damage so he didn’t confront them.
March 6
A woman called to report she locked her keys in her car in the 5900 block of 228th Street Southwest. Her dog was also stuck in the car. The dog had entangled itself on its leash and was whimpering and whining. The responding officer attempted to unlock the door with an air bladder and coat hanger, but the officer bent the window out too far and the window shattered. The estimated damage is $125.
March 7
A collision was reported in the 22900 block of 53rd Avenue West after a vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. Two men were at the scene that had been in the moving car. The officer could smell intoxicants in the vehicle, but couldn’t smell intoxicants on the two men. They had been in the passenger seat and the rear passenger seat. They said the driver ran from the scene. Officers asked if the driver had been drinking and the two men said they could smell alcohol on her but hadn’t seen her drink. A K-9 unit was called in and started a track, but was unsuccessful.
March 8
The principal of Mountlake Terrace High School reported a threatening note written in black Sharpie on campus. No suspects or leads at this time.
A vehicle prowl was reported in the 22800 block of Lakeview Drive. The vehicle’s owner said he was unsure how entry was made because there was no damage and he believes his doors were locked. A GPS, 30 Potonix pills, a speaker with headphones and 12 CDs and DVDs were stolen. About $125 in cash was also missing.
March 9
A vehicle theft was reported. The vehicle owner’s daughter came to the police station to report it. She said a man living with them for about six months last year. He moved out but came back two nights before the incident. He stayed with them for a few days. When the daughter woke up at 8:30 a.m., she noticed the car, keys and the man were all gone. No one was able to contact the man. The car has been registered as stolen.
March 10
A burglary was reported. A resident said someone entered his house through an unlocked sliding glass door to the back yard that was left ajar after the suspect left. The resident said no one was allowed to enter the house. An Apple laptop and about $5,000 in cash was stolen. Documents were also reported missing, including social security information.
A burglary was reported in the 4900 block of 243rd Street Southwest. The homeowner said he had just bought the house and began moving his stuff into it the day before. Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) entered the house and took multiple items, including a large coin collection, laptop, tablet, PlayStation and Nintendo Wii. He said he first noticed the front window was wide open and the sliding glass door in the back yard was also open. There were no signs of forced entry, but the homeowner said he was pretty sure it was locked up. Footprints were found in the living room, possibly from the suspect(s). A black knit hat and partially consumed Gatorade bottle were also found. The homeowner said they were not his and they were taken into evidence.
