Mountlake Terrace police blotter: March 10-17

A man reported that he believed his roommate peed into his pre-mixed supplement drinks stored in their refrigerator. He said he wants to press charges if possible.

March 12
A burglary was reported in the 5700 block of 241st Street Southwest. The homeowner noticed damage on the door on the east side of the house, which was wide open when she got home. Jewelry and makeup were missing from the house. Drawers beneath her television were also open.

March 13
A theft was reported in the 21200 block of 52nd Avenue West.

March 14
An assault was reported in the 21700 block of 51st Avenue West. A neighbor reported someone was assaulting another person with a baseball bat in the backyard of a residence.

March 15
An assault was reported in the 4700 block of 222nd Street Southwest. The responding officer saw the victim lying in a yard with blood coming from his nose and mouth. The victim was alert and talked to the officer. The victim said he was punched by a man in a white sedan who drove by and yelled something at him. He yelled back so the car turned around and the passenger got out of the vehicle and they got in a fistfight. Both threw punches but the victim said the other man “got the better of him.” The victim’s father came to the scene and transported him to the hospital.

A Bellevue police officer called Mountlake Terrace Police for a suspect in custody. He was contacted in Bothell but had a theft warrant out of Mountlake Terrace. She was transported to Snohomish County Jail for the warrant.

Officers responded to a report of a man and woman arguing in the library parking lot. They left heading east and were located a short distance away. The two said they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They told officers they had been arguing but nothing physical had happened. No signs of assault were visible.

A burglary was reported in the 21700 block of 52nd Avenue West. The responding officer saw the contents of drawers and cabinets that had been dumped onto the floor. Bookshelves also had books thrown onto the floor. The homeowner said her doors had been locked when she left for work in the morning. Gaming systems, televisions, computers, jewelry and $21,000 in cash were missing. The cash and her wedding ring had been hidden in a box in her bedroom. The homeowner said she had so much cash because she had just sold her business. She said only her family knew about the cash in the box.

A missing person was reported in the 21400 block of 40th Court West. The resident said her roommate hadn’t been seen since March 13 and didn”t show up for work in the morning. She said she had tried calling her without success. Later that afternoon, Lynnwood Police located her in a hotel in Lynnwood.

A robbery was reported at the intersection of 66th Avenue West and 220th Street Southwest. A man was apparently trying to steal a backpack from a woman. The two had been at a bar when the man decided it was time to go. She didn’t want to go so he threatened to take the backpack. Both said the argument was verbal only and no assault occurred. Both were given DV pamphlets.

March 16
A physical domestic complaint was reported in the 23100 block of 64th Avenue West. The victim said the suspect, his son, had been having an ongoing verbal fight with his girlfriend. The victim intervened when another person in the residence tried to stop the verbal fight between the suspect and his girlfriend. An hour later, the suspect reportedly punched and shoved the victim. Several abrasions were seen on the victim’s heck and arms. The suspect was arrested for domestic assault and malicious mischief.

 March 17
A residential burglary was reported in the 22400 block of 56th Avenue West. The homeowner said the frame to his laundry room door was broken when someone forced entry. Nothing inside the rest of the house had been disturbed as it is not accessible from the laundry room.
