Mountlake Terrace Police Blotter, Dec. 7-16

Police to responded to the parking lot of Studio 6 hotel. A woman had asked for assistance because she and her husband were arguing, and her husband was trying to pop the tires on their minivan with a screwdriver. It appeared that the husband was unsuccessful. Both parties agreed that no assault or other crime occurred. The husband agreed to leave and let the wife have use of the vehicle for the rest of the night.

Dec. 11

A woman reported that her locked vehicle was stolen from the third floor of the Mountlake Terrace Park-and-Ride lot.

Dec. 12

Police responded to a report of a vehicle prowl in the 4600 block of 224th Street Southwest. The victim stated that a Garmin GPS was stolen from her vehicle, which may have been left unlocked. The glove box was also ransacked.

Dec. 13

Police were called to a disturbance in the 6000 block of Albion Way, where a woman and her boyfriend of seven years were breaking up and yelling at each other. Both parties stated that no assault occurred.

Dec. 13

A woman and her 8-year-old daughter came to the police station to report a possible child luring that happened in the 23000 block of 57th Avenue West on Dec. 8. The girl was walking to her babysitter’s house when she saw a 50- to 60-year-old man sitting just inside the front door of a home with a group of girls ranging in age from 12 to 25. The man told the girl to “come here” but the girl declined and ran to her babysitter’s house. The girl did not report the information until Dec. 10. Police contacted a man living at the house who matched the girl’s description; he told officers that while he had female friends over, he did not have any contact with juveniles.

Dec. 14

  • A man came to the police station to report that on Dec. 8, someone had cut the screen on the rear bedroom window of his home and removed it. The victim said it appeared that someone had tried to open the window but was unable to.
  • A man called police to report that he had lost his wallet in Mountlake Terrace on Dec. 11, and between Dec. 12 and 13 there were nine unauthorized charges totaling $400 on his bank card. The charges were made online and were associated with a PayPal account.
  • A burglary report was investigated in the 6300 block 219th Street Southwest, where the victim said she came home and found the door to her apartment, where she lives with her mother and sister, had been pried open. Clothing and jewelry were stolen, and her sister’s certificate of citizenship was also missing.

Dec. 16

A man reported a vehicle prowl in the 22800 block of 44th Avenue West. He stated that he was unloading his car when suspects pulled up and opened the back of his Hummer, taking presents and his survival bag. The suspects fled north on 44th Avenue West in a Honda that was stolen out of Everett. The suspects were described as three white blonde males; one of them was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt.
