MLT police shieldThe following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

Oct. 8

22600 block of 48th Ave. W. Found property. A man found a box on the on ramp to north I-5 off off 220th street. The box contained a folder that appears to have belonged to a former Mountlake Terrace Police volunteer.

Oct. 11

5600 block of 236th St. SW. Traffic. A vehicle left the roadway and struck a metal sign, causing it to bend at a 90-degree angle. The vehicle fled the scene.

Oct. 13

4500 block of 243rd Pl. W. Vehicle prowl. A woman reported the contents of her glove box scattered about in her vehicle. She was not missing anything and could not remember if the doors were locked.

23100 block of La Pierre Dr. Vehicle prowl. A man reported the theft of a gun, camera and hunting knives from his vehicle.

5600 block of 239th St. SW. Vehicle prowl. A resident reported the theft of sunglasses, a gym bag of soccer equipment and a diaper bag from her vehicle.

4300 block of 243rd Pl. W. Vehicle prowl. A backpack, shoes and a textbook were stolen from a vehicle.

Oct. 15

7000 block of 220th St. SW. Traffic. Police pulled over a car due to a non-functioning headlight. After checking the identities of the driver and passenger, it was determined that both had outstanding warrants and they were both placed under arrest.
