The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.
Sept. 19
7100 block of 220th St. SW. Vehicle prowl. A man reported the theft of $5 in change from his car. Entry was gained by cutting the convertible top.
Sept. 28
24000 block of 59th Pl. W. Vehicle prowl. A purse was stolen from a vehicle. The victim didn’t know when or where the theft took place since she was running errands throughout the day.
5500 block of 234th St. SW. Burglary. A computer and iPod were stolen from a business.
6400 block of 236th St. SW. Collision. A vehicle struck a construction flagger, who suffered injuries and was bleeding from her head. The suspect vehicle was located west of the collision scene and the driver was arrested. The suspect said he did not realize he hit someone. Police smelled alcohol on the suspect’s breath.
Sept. 30
23000 block of 55th Ave. W. Vehicle prowl. A GPS was stolen out of a car.
Oct. 1
4400 224th Pl. SW. Theft. A woman reported the theft of a rent check she placed to be mailed in her mailbox.
23400 block of 58th Ave W. Assault. A man reported that he was stabbed by another man while he was walking on the trail adjacent to Veterans Park on his way to the Park and Ride lot. The victim said he did not know the suspect but that he was a short, skinny, Hispanic male wearing blue sweatpants and a yellow sleeveless T-shirt. Police spoke to the victim while he was being treated at the hospital for the injuries. Police searched the park for the suspect but did not locate anyone. A detective has been assigned the case.
