MLT police shieldThe following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

May 8

6000 block of 244th St. SW. Possession of stolen property. Police discovered a stolen car in a motel parking lot. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was taken into custody.

22800 block of 58th Ave. W. Humane. Police responded to an alarm at a house. Upon arrival, police contacted a resident, who said she thought her dog set off the alarm. The dog then ran past the front yard and was struck by a vehicle. Police assisted in loading the dog into a vehicle so the owner could take it to the vet.

21700 block of Highway 99. Sex offense/exposure. A man allegedly exposed his genitals to a barista. The suspect did not leave when asked by the victim, who then poured a beverage on his car. The man then drove away but the barista snapped a photo of the license plate. Police contacted the suspect who said he was at the espresso stand but that he thought he had a misunderstanding with the worker. The man claimed that the barista saw his brown belt and mistook it for something else. Police talked with the victim who was adamant that the suspect exposed his genitals.

May 9

21200 block of 48th Ave. W. A woman lost her birth certificate and other paperwork related to her citizenship.

May 10

2300 block of Dravus St. Seattle. Theft vehicle. A car from Mountlake Terrace was recovered in Seattle.

May 11

23600 block of 56th Ave. W. Theft from building. A Northwest Harvest donation bin was stolen. The bin was about two-by-four-feet and was designated to collect cleaning supply donations. The bin was full of cleaning supplies and some canned good. Value was estimated at $200.

May 12

5100 block of 240th Pl. SW. Impound vehicles. A Buick car was impounded. The car had an expired license and the registered owner lives in Shoreline.

6000 block of 244th St. SW. Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Police arrested a man in a car for possession of heroin. The suspect was seen holding what appeared to be a white straw and a bar tar like substance consistent with heroin was found in the center console of the car.
