MLT police shieldThe following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

April 9

23000 block of 67th Ave. W. Vehicle theft attempt. A woman reported that someone attempted to steal her vehicle. The steering column had been torn apart and the ignition switch was removed.

23500 block of 52nd Ave. W. Theft. A lawnmower stored in a shed was stolen.

April 10

23000 block of 57th Ave. W. Malicious mischief. A man reported that someone sprayed paint on the side of his house. The victim rents the house.

4400 block of 212th St. SW. Theft from auto. A man reported his registration and some tools from the glove box were missing from his vehicle.

5100 block of 221st St. SW. Stolen vehicle recovery. A large truck stolen out of Bothell was recovered.

6300 block of St. Albion Way. Theft auto. A Ford Escape was stolen.

April 11

6300 block of St. Albion Way. Theft from auto. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took change from an ashtray and a faceplate for a radio.

April 13

21400 block of 48th Ave. W. Vehicle prowl. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

April 14

21400 block of 48th Ave. W. A woman reported that her granddaughter assaulted her and fled the area. During an argument, the suspect pushed a shelving unit off a desk that struck the victim’s shins. The suspect returned to the home and police returned and arrested her. While at the jail, the nurse informed police that the suspect was seven months pregnant and had tested positive for use of marijuana and methamphetamines. The suspect said her doctor said marijuana use was OK as long as she ate it and denied using methamphetamines

21600 block of 53rd Ave. W. Impound vehicle. An apparently abandoned vehicle was impounded.

April 15

4400 block of 212th St. SW. Theft from auto. A woman reported the theft of several items from her vehicle, many of which were recovered in a nearby parking lot.

4400 block of 212th St. SW. Theft from auto. A man reported the theft of a handicapped placard, the vehicle owner’s manual, a lighter and an insurance card from his vehicle.

April 16

6000 block of St. Albion Way. Theft from auto. A man reported that his vehicle was broken into sometime during the night. The driver’s side window was smashed out. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. The suspect left a towel over the broken window and a screw driver.

4400 block of 212th St. SW. Theft from auto. The faceplate to a radio and a policy manual were stolen from a vehicle. Later in the day, an apartment manager showed the victim some items found between two buildings and he recognized the radio faceplate and policy manual. The victim also told police a music mixer from his trunk was missing.

April 17

22800 block of 44th Ave. W. Assist other agency. A Mountlake Terrace Police officer assisted a Brier officer with a DUI stop. The Brier officer was not currently certified on the blood alcohol count machine. The female suspect blew a .279 BAC and was arrested.
