The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.
March 12
22807 57th Ave. W. Suspicious circumstances. A resident recently seeded his yard and put yellow caution tape around it. He had several metal stakes around the front yard. The resident told police the caution tape was moved to across his driveway and was tied in such a way that blocked access to the driveway. The man thought that the neighborhood children did it as a prank but his wife wanted him to call the police.
March 13
5900 block of 214th St. SW. Assault. A man told police he was stabbed in his arm by another man but declined to provide information to the police and did not want to press charges. The victim was transported to Swedish Edmonds hospital.
March 15
23100 block of 51st Ave. W. A man reported the theft of a GPS from his vehicle.
4700 block of 212th St. SW. Malicious mischief. Someone appeared to have damaged a fence at an apartment complex while doing some target shooting at several tin cans.
5800 block of 242nd St. SW. Theft. A man reported the theft of his Honda Accord. The victim said he left the keys in the vehicle after he transferred a car seat to another vehicle, a Honda Odyssey. Books, CDs and a toy also were stolen from the Odyssey.
5900 block of 214th St. SW. Theft from vehicle. A man reported the theft of a coffee cup containing loose change and keys from his truck. A GPS and a check book in the truck were not stolen
5100 block of 236th St. SW. Theft from vehicle. A GPS and pool cues were stolen from a vehicle.
March 16
6600 block of 244th St. SW. Theft. A man grabbed a golf bag containing seven golf clubs and ran out of the pro shop. The suspect threw the golf bag containing the clubs into the car and the woman driver in the vehicle drove off. The man did not get into the car but ran off through the golf course Police were not able to locate the suspect. The stolen items amounted to about $2,000.
23000 block of 66th Ave. W. Theft from building. A woman reported the theft of her wallet. The wallet contained $200 and various credit cards.
6200 block of St. Albion Way. Theft from auto. A woman reported the theft of various papers from the glove box of her vehicle.
24300 block of 56th Ave. W. Stolen vehicle recovery. A stolen BMW was recovered in vacant lot.
March 18
21900 block of 64th Ave. W. Theft from auto. A resident reported the theft of a coat, various change and paperwork from a vehicle in an apartment parking lot. The dashboard was damaged when the change tray was removed.
5000 block of 212th St. SW. Theft. A woman reported that her purse was missing from her vehicle.
21300 block of 60th Ave. W. Impound vehicle. A Jeep Cherokee was impounded.
March 19
22000 block of 52nd Ave. W. Theft. A teacher at Mountlake Terrace Elementary School reported the theft of a computer from her classroom. She noticed the computer was missing on March 4 but didn’t realize she needed to file a police report.
6300 block of St. Albion Way. Vehicle recovery. A 1993 Honda Civic was recovered.
6000 block of 219th St. SW. Humane. A deaceased cat was located on the roadway. The owner of the cat was contacted and she took possession of the body.
