The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.
Jan. 23
21800 block of 44th Ave. W. Accident Traffic. A Mountlake Terrace High School student was reared ended. The victim pulled into the school parking lot but the other vehicle did not follow.
Jan. 24
5400 block of 234th St. SW. Theft mail. A resident said someone pried open her mailbox and stole her mail. The mailbox was destroyed.
22300 block of 223rd St. SW. Found property. An iPhone was found.
Jan. 25
22400 53rd Ave. W. Vehicle theft. A woman reported her Jeep Cherokee was stolen while parked in front of her residence. Later the next day the vehicle was located in the 21200 block of 52nd Ave. W. The woman reported that her laptop, textbooks and iPod were missing from the vehicle.
Jan. 27
22500 block of 51st Ave. W. Burglary. Police responded to the report of a suspected burglary. Upon arrival, the front door was unlocked and the back sliding door has been broken. A bedroom jewelry box has been emptied out and tossed on the floor and a dresser drawer also was open.
21200 block of 52nd St. SW. Shoplifting. A man allegedly purchased a slice of pizza and then stole a pint of ice cream.
23000 block of Lakeview Dr. Lost property. A man was walking his dog in the park when another dog attacked the man’s dog. When the man was trying to separate the dogs, he lost his iPod and money clip from his sweatshirt pocket. He had a $100 in the clip.
23000 block of Lakeview Dr. Humane. A woman was walking her two dogs in Ballinger Park when a large dog, which was off leash, charged her dogs. The woman stood between her dogs and the charging dog and in the process she got tangled in her leashes and fell down.
Jan. 28
22200 block of 48th Ave. W. Suspicious circumstances. A man reported that the lug nuts on the driver’s side of his vehicle has been loosened overnight. The man was driving to work when he noticed the vehicle shaking.
7300 block of 226th Pl. SW. Impound vehicle. A Dodge Durango was impounded.
Jan. 29
23200 block of 57th Ave. W. Malicious mischief. A Post Office employee reported that two of the Post Office boxes had pry marks around the door of the boxes. Police found tool marks around the frame of the doors to the boxes but no entry was made into the boxes.
23000 Lakeview Dr. Assist other agency. Police reported to a report of a man having heart problems at the Mountlake Terrace Senior Center. The fire department already was on the scene administering CPR to a man, who had been line dancing with his girlfriend. He was resuscitated and taken to the hospital.
