MLT police shieldThe following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

Jan. 9

21700 block of Highway 99. Malicious mischief. A hole in a chain link fence was reported.

22800 block of 44th Ave. W. Theft. Two men entered a gym and while one of them distracted an employee, the other went back to the locker room. Later, a gym member saw her car dome light come on. She went to her locker, which was not locked and discovered her car keys were missing. The victim then went out to check on her car and saw two suspects running away from it.

Jan. 11

5800 block of 236th St. SW. Found property. A rifle-style gun was found next to a sidewalk.

Jan. 12

22300 block of 42nd Pl. W. Theft. A resident reported a vehicle prowl. Credit cards were among the items stolen.

5600 block of 213th St. SW. Humane. Dogs were reported to be constantly barking.

Jan. 13

22700 block of Lakeview Dr. Lost property. A resident reported the theft of a camera, memory cards and medicine.

Jan. 14

4700 block of 224th Pl. SW. Burglary. A resident reported a wreath from her front door was lying on the ground and there was damage to the door. The resident did not believe anything had been stolen from her residence.

22000 block of 56th Ave. W. Found property. A resident brought a bag of items he found abandoned behind a building. He believed the items belonged to a stripper.

7000 block of 220th St. SW. Malicious mischief. Tunnel walls were covered in gang-style graffiti.

21800 block of 58th Ave. W. Vehicle prowl. A resident reported the back hatchback door was open on a vehicle. The glove box and center console also had been opened and papers were thrown about. Nothing was missing.

5900 block of 242nd St. SW. Vehicle recovery. A 2000 Chevy pickup truck was recovered. The owner is from Everett.
