The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.
Sept. 5
6000 block of 244th St. SW. Malicious mischief. Several unknown suspects were involved in a fight in the lobby of a restaurant that resulted a computer monitor being shattered.
21800 block of 44th Ave. W. Vehicle recovery. A stolen car from Bothell was recovered after it was abandoned in a school bus lane.
6200 block of 223rd Pl. SW. Fraud. A resident reported that $32,000 was stolen from her checking account sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 5. The spending spree started in Oregon and continued north through Washington. Thousands of dollars were spent in Seattle and $74 was spent in a restaurant in Mountlake Terrace. A strip club was contacted by the victim and an employee remembered the suspect and said he tried to run a card for a large amount of money.
Sept. 6
220th St. SW. and Interurban trail. Found property. A black Xbox game station was found.
Sept. 7
21400 block of 50th Ave. W. Theft. A license plate with tabs was stolen.
5000 block of 212th St. SW. Theft. A car was stolen from a parking lot during the night.
Sept. 8
21400 block of 52nd Ave. W. Theft. A man told police that his bicycle was stolen off his porch. The man heard the suspect enter the area after he hit some hanging chimes but he did not see the suspect.
Sept. 10
21700 block of 48th Ave. W. Found property. A man turned in debit cards that he found near his fence line. The man said he did not know the people whose names were affixed to the debit cards.
21400 block of 48th Ave. W. Theft-identity. A man told police that someone tried to file for unemployment benefits under his name without his permission. The man also received a letter from his bank stating that he debit card may have been compromised.
7000 block of 220th St. SW. Malicious mischief. Graffiti was reported on the Interurban Trail at the tunnel portion. Several names were spray painted onto the walls in and around the entrance.
Sept. 11
3600 block of 225th Pl. SW. Malicious mischief. A woman reported damage to her truck. While talking with the victim, police notice blue spray paint on two white lion statues at the end of the driveway. A resident told the police he found a blue spray can in the garbage by the statuses.
3900 block of 228th St. SW. Malicious mischief. Various areas of a park were vandalized by someone with a blue spray paint. The damage occurred sometime during the night.
