The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.
23400 block of 48th Ave W. A woman told police that someone stole a large speaker from the back of her vehicle sometime during the night. The rest of the vehicle was ransacked.
21900 block of Highway 99. DUI. A woman was pulled over after police observed a vehicle with only its parking lights on at night. Police detected an odor of intoxicants and the woman appeared to be slurring her works. The woman exited the vehicle to perform voluntary field sobriety tests and appeared to be uncoordinated. She was trying to walk and button up her pants. The woman said she needed to fasten her pants up and that she had undone them because she has eaten so much prime rib at a restaurant. The woman failed the tests and was arrested for DUI.
4700 block of 212th St. SW. Auto theft. A man reported that his 1987 car was stolen sometime overnight.
22400 block of 44th Ave. W. Verbal domestic A couple engaged in a verbal argument. Both parties confirmed that no physical violence took place. The man agreed to leave the home for the evening.
22200 62nd Ave. W. Overdose. A man was found lying on a couch with abnormal breathing. The man’s girlfriend told police after she woke up and went out to look for her boyfriend she found him on the couch with an uncapped needle lying on on the couch next to him. Police said the needle was partially filled with what appeared to be heroin. The man, who was said to have a history of drug use, was taken to the hospital.
5100 block of 243rd St. SW. Assault. A man was arguing with another man when police arrived. One of the men said he argued with a third man inside of a residence and also was assaulted by that man. The victim had a cut on his elbow but declined medical aid. The other two men claimed the victim was under the influence of alcohol and fell head first into a wall. No weapons were involved and the parties agreed not to pursue charges against the other for assault.
22800 Lakeview Dr. Theft. A man reported that golf clubs left in the trunk of his vehicle were stolen.
6100 block of St. Albion Way. Found property. A woman found a green bag containing three cell phones and an iPod near a dumpster. She located the owner of the one of the phones but not for the other items. Police checked the serial numbers for the phones but they were clear and no owners for the items were located.
6303 213th Pl. SW. Warrant service. Police were called to a suspicious circumstance at a business. Upon arrival, police investigated the report of a man in the bushes, who appeared to be looking for something. A man, who said he was looking for his keys, was questioned. A check revealed he was wanted for multiple warrants and the man was taken into custody and transported to the Lynnwood Jail.
