The City of Mountlake Terrace is seeking sponsors for the 32nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 5 at Evergreen Playfield.

This year’s event is extra special as the city will also be celebrating the its 60th anniversary of incorporation. The city’s goal is to raise $1,000 by Sept. 30 to fund the event.

This celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes music, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus. Volunteers serve cocoa and cookies while children carol. The “tree” which can be seen from miles around, is a frame constructed with lights and sits atop the city’s water tower. The event is coordinated by the City of Mountlake Terrace with help from Snohomish County Fire District 1 and long-time, dedicated volunteers. More information regarding the city’s 60th anniversary and associated activities will be announced.

All sponsors will receive recognition from the City on the day of the event and be included on all promotional materials.
