Mountlake Terrace hires new Recreation Supervisor

Kevin Witte has been hired as the new Recreation Supervisor by the Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department.

Recreation Director Jeff Betz introduced Witte to the City Council at its Monday night meeting. Witte, who was a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Mukilteo for the past four years, began his new position with Mountlake Terrace on Nov. 17.

As Recreation Supervisor, Witte will oversee athletics, fitness and youth programs.“Kevin has worked in the sports and parks industry since the age of 16. He worked for the Silvertips and Seafair in sports marketing and event production,” Betz said. “Kevin has a passion for recreation and parks and we’re happy to have him on board to serve the citizens of Mountlake Terrace.”

Witte, who was born and raised in Everett, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Sports Management in 2010 from Washington State University (WSU). He worked for Pullman Parks and Recreation for four years while attending WSU.

“I am excited for the opportunity to be here,” Witte said. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about this city and I look forward to continuing my career here.”
