Mountlake Terrace High School’s Sport, Health and Wellness Fair and Spring Bazaar coming Saturday

Mountlake Terrace High School’s Sport, Health and Wellness Fair and Spring Bazaar is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 at Mountlake Terrace High School, 21801 44th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace.Activities are from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and include a Public Education program from 11 a.m.—12:30 p.m. There will be 75-plus vendors providing information and products, ranging from health and wellness to local crafters, independent businesses, non-profits and more. All vendors will be set up in the high school gym. Entrance is free.

For kids young and old, find your inner Pirate with the Rogue of Puget Sound Pirates and Mermaid. Snap your picture with them and their prop ship.

Free Public Education Event: Happy, Healthy, You; featuring five local speakers providing helpful tips and tricks to those in attendance to improve their health and happiness. Speakers from: Seattle Meditation Center, Mosaic Physical Therapy, Absolute Fitness & Sports Performance, Namaste Nutritionist, and Natural Reflections Health Care. The BBQ will be hosted directly in front of the school and will be serving hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks; full meals or individually purchased. All the fixings, including grilled onions and jalapenos, will be offered. Seating will be available. Large size hot dog meal $3.50; hamburger/cheeseburger meal $4.50 with optional grilled onions. Meals includes drink and bag of chips.

Driven to Give (Lincoln’s version of Drive 4UR School) in partnership with Harris Ford Lincoln, who are providing the vehicles to offer test drives. Test drives are done with parent volunteers and there is no pressure or sales. It truly is as simple as, “come down, take a drive in a New Lincoln, and Ford/Lincoln donates $20 for each qualified drive”. The goal is for 300 test drivers (first 100 test drives earn $40).

Car Wash organized by the parents of the Terrace Hawks Football team; they are ready with power washers and soap suds to make your vehicle shine. Car Wash is by donation to directly support the football team. Operating in the top lot near 44th Ave. W.

Blood Drive in honor of Team Kellie. If you would like to schedule a time to give blood, a life saving measure, please contact Melissa Reid at m.reid@comcast.net to schedule a time from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; walk-ins are welcome too, appointments are encouraged.

Food Drive collection site; a community member and past SBC officer will be collecting non-perishable food for the local food bank.
