School is out for the summer, but Mountlake Terrace High School students have a reason to return to campus on either Thursday, June 18, or Monday, June 22, to pick up their yearbooks.
The 2014-15 yearbooks are being distributed on Thursday, noon — 1:30 p.m., and Monday, 10:30 a.m. — noon, in the auxiliary gymnasium; students are advised to use the outside entrance to the small gym and to bring picture I.D.
The yearbooks were delayed in being delivered to the school, finally arriving on the last scheduled day of classes, Wednesday, June 17, a half-day that nearly all students at the school don’t bother to attend. A hastily-scheduled distribution time was quickly scheduled for the afternoon, but with few students knowing of the opportunity to get their yearbooks additional distribution times were added on June 18 and June 22.

I spoke with MTHS Principal Greg Schwab on Thursday morning, June 18, about the yearbooks. “We sincerely apologize for the delay. It has been really frustrating for everyone involved and it was one of those things that ‘just happened.’ We’re glad they are finally here and that we can get them into the hands of our students,” he said.
