Mountlake Terrace High, Brier Terrace Middle students finish strong at national technology conference

Mountlake Terrace High and Brier Terrace Middle students just returned from competing at the 37th annual Technology Student Association Conference in Washington D.C. 

The Brier Terrace Middle School team of Ryan Coffman, Brandon Elias and Marika Jamtaas made the semi-finals in Leadership Strategies and the team of Ryan Coffman, Brandon Elias, and Jake Peters finished seventh in Inventions and Innovations.

Mountlake Terrace’s Haeley Johnston finished eighth in Career Preparation. Johnston also received the TSA Gold Achievement Award for overall excellence in the areas of Leadership, School/Community Service, Scholarship, and Knowledge of Technology. Of the 216,000 TSA Members, only 110 were recognized with this award.

The event was the largest national conference ever with 6,872 students from throughout the country in attendance.
