Ten students from Mountlake Terrace High School and 19 from Brier Terrace Middle School attended a one-day state Technology Student Association (TSA) leadership training seminar held on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond on Nov. 19.
The students participated in programs focused on instilling leadership skills, team-building exercises, and techniques to improve each school’s TSA chapter.
“The students did an outstanding job representing their schools and the Edmonds School District,” said BTMS TSA advisor Todd Johnston.
A total of 274 students from across Washington State participated in the Nov. 19 seminar. TSA is the largest science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) student leadership organization in the state.
Brier-Terrace Middle School will host a TSA Middle School Regional competition on Jan. 10, 2015.
