City-of-MLT-logoThe Mountlake Terrace City Council will be revisiting its goals and objectives for 2015-17 at Thursday’s work/study session.

The City Council reviewed the 2015-17 goals at its July 30 meeting. The City Council decided at its 2014 retreat to continue with the existing goals of protecting the city’s finances, economic development, capital infrastructure needs, community outreach, and downtown revitalization including addressing the “Main Street” and City Hall projects.

During the April 11, 2015 retreat, the City Council directed staff to have another goal-focused discussion and consider whether or not to modify the current goals or redo them completely.

The Council also will hear proposed updates to Phase I of the Transportation Code, review a proposed amendment to the contract with Waste Management and be briefed on the Mid-Year Staff Activity Report.

The Police Department also is scheduled to give an update on its electronic monitoring program and the financial viability of continuing the program.
