The Mountlake Terrace City Council unanimously passed the revised 2015-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Ordinance and a resolution in support of the 2015 State Transportation Revenue and Reform Package during its Monday meeting.
For the City to receive a $427,449 City Safety Program grant for a proposed 2015 Citywide Safety Improvements project from the state, the project had be formally named and included in the City’s TIP and the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). A Public Hearing was held Monday before the Council vote.
The Council also voted to support a resolution in support of the 2015 State Transportation Revenue and Reform Package.
It is hoped that the package will include funding set aside for Complete Streets that Mountlake Terrace could compete for in support of the Main Street project and include investments in various grant programs vital to the funding of infrastructure projects in Mountlake Terrace.
