At its June 4 meeting, the Mountlake Terrace City Council made numerous appointments to vacant posts on city boards and commissions. The City Council appointed Mark Hopkins to the Arts Advisory Commission, Christina O’Brien to the Library Board, and John Dougall and Mika Harmon to the Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission.
Volunteers who serve on city boards and commissions inform and advise the Council in addition to help organize events like National Night Out, Tour de Terrace, and Arts of the Terrace.
Additional appointments are scheduled to be made later this month as the terms of a number of board members expire on June 30.
The city has five Boards and Commissions including the Arts Advisory Commission, Community Policing Advisory Board, Library Board, Planning Commission, and Recreation and Parks Commission.
