The Mountlake Terrace City Council recognized Eagle Scout Mike MacKay at its Oct. 5 meeting for his project at the Off-Leash Dog Park.

MacKay completed his Eagle Scout project at Evergreen Park located at 5303 228th Street SW. Mackay installed concrete steps to enhance the entry at the Mountlake Terrace Off-Leash Dog Park.

“On behalf of the City Council, I thank you,” said Mayor Jerry Smith. “We really appreciate what you did for our community.”

“These Scouts put in many hours and a lot of hard work on their projects that benefit the city and its residents,” said Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch, who coordinates projects with prospective Eagle Scouts.
