Mountlake Terrace, Brier libraries to change hours in May

snoislelibrarySno-Isle Libraries is changing library hours to meet customer needs, according to library district officials. The changes will take place May 3.

Mountlake Terrace will opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Saturdays, the library will close an hour later, at 6 p.m.

For Brier, the hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are 11 a.m.-7 p.m., on Thursday through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

“We’ve realigned hours to better match the needs of our local communities, and will provide morning, evening and weekend hours in every location,” said Deputy Director Kendra Trachta.

“Although many people access our services online, our buildings are still important places for people to browse, gather, study and access computers and other technology,” Trachta added. “Our libraries logged almost 3.5 million visits in 2014.”

The Sno-Isle district serves 21 communities throughout Snohomish and Island counties. Hours, locations and services for each can be found online at sno-isle.org/locations.
