Both Mountlake Terrace and Brier Libraries are offering special events this week in conjunction with the kickoff of Sno-Isle Libraries 2015 Explore Summer reading program for kids and teens.

On Wednesday, June 24, Brier Library hosts an “Insect Safari” with entomologist Don Ehlen. Participants can learn about the different classifications of insects from the live and preserved collection that Ehlen will be displaying. The event is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. and is welcome to all ages.

On Saturday, June 27, professional juggler and magician Alex Zerbe will perform at the Mountlake Terrace Library beginning at 2 p.m. Zerbe has entertained audiences throughout the United States and 14 countries, has appeared on America’s Got Talent and Last Comic Standing, is a Hacky Sack World Champion and is the proud holder of two Guinness world records.

More Explore Summer events are scheduled at both the Mountlake Terrace and Brier Libraries through Aug. 22.
