Community Service: Annual Food drive:  Last year we collected over 26,000 cans. I raise money for Special Olympics along with the Polar Plunge. I participated in a benefit concert with my church for the victims of the Oso mud slide and donated money, clothes, and food. I am also involved with Teens Against Tobacco Use. We go to elementary schools and educate kids about Tobacco and give them resources and refusal skills.

Clubs & Activities: I have been Editor-in-Chief of the Hawkeye, the award-winning student newspaper of MTHS, since last year. I was the local news editor during my sophomore year and I was a staff reporter my freshman year. I am the MTHS student adviser to the Edmonds School Board. I am a member of the National Honors Society and have been since my sophomore year.
During my sophomore year, I was a member of Key Club and the Speech and Debate Club.
ASB: I am a Link Leader and have been since my junior year. I participated in the 2014 Mt. Triumph Leadership Camp and was chosen as one of two camp finalists to be considered for the Hearst scholarship.
Athletics: I snowboard during the winter.

Culminating Project: Although the culminating project requirement was eliminated, I am still planning to do it independently. I am planning to start an organization/association for student journalists of the Edmonds School District.

Future Educational Goals:  I want to attend a four-year university and obtain my bachelor’s degree in political science/social policy. Then I plan to get a law degree.
Future Career Goals: I want to go into a career in law or policy making. I am interested in politics and want to work in some aspect of public affairs and public service. I would love to work for the American Civil Liberties Union and the Student Press Law Center.
Anything else we should know? I have had an excellent four years at Terrace. The school offers a great variety of opportunities for students. My involvement in the student newspaper has opened so many doors for me, and for that I’m exceedingly grateful. The holistic education I have received at Terrace is invaluable. Thank you for choosing me as Student of the Month.
