Motorists should use caution after windy night

Roads affected by wind debris, Jan. 18 004The overnight winds that swept through the area have caused treacherous driving conditions on some county roads, reported the Snohomish County Sheriff Department Sunday morning.

The department tweeted, “Numerous road closures in south & east county between of trees down or into powerlines. Use extreme caution while driving,” around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

All major arterials in Mountlake Terrace and Brier are open and passable, but motorists are advised to use caution as there are some tree limbs on area roads.
