After another day of counting ballots in King and Snohomish counties, Luis Moscoso (D) has edged ahead of Heidi Munson (R) in the race for the 1st Legislative District Representative Position 2. Moscoso leads by only 20 votes, making it 50.03% to 49.97%. It will likely be a couple more days before we find out which way this ones goes.
The remainder of the local races remain relatively unchanged since yesterday. Around 1,000 more votes have been counted from Mountlake Terrace but the Civic Campus measure is still failing 54%-46%. If past turnout in Mountlake Terrace is any indication, there may be another couple of hundred votes coming in from MLT residents but certainly not enough to approve the proposition.
