On Tuesday, Feb. 2, the House Public Safety Committee heard testimony on House Bill 1293, which would reduce unduly harsh sentences for offenses committed by domestic violence survivors. In the Senate’s Business, Financial Services & Trade committee, Senate Bill 5351 examined business interruption insurance claims.

  1. A relative of mine has an ex. who has a protec tion order against him. Every time he comes together with another female, he does something nasty. IE: choking, slapping around, also has choked his mother. Has held a machete to one girls throught. My relative is the only one to follow through with charges. All the others, are too scared of him to follow through. So he has gotten away with all that he has done. One day he will seriously hurt someone, then will be too late.
