Downtown Mountlake Terrace was alive with the dead … and the scary, amusing and fun on Thursday night as Halloween and alternative holiday events were attended by many in the community.

Officials from the 4th Annual Trunk and Treat event on 56th Avenue West estimate about 1,500 walked the lines of vehicles and grabbed candy and prizes at their two-hour event. Thirty-eight “trunks” were filled with goodies handed out to the costumed kids and their families that participated.

Directly next door, Calvary Fellowship drew more to the area with games, candy, snacks and hayrides around the building at their Harvest Festival. And within walking distance, Calvary Tabernacle UPC hosted their “Take Back the Night” event with more games and fun, inside and out.

  1. Thanks to all that participated in the 4th annual Mountlake Terrace TRUNK r TREAT. It takes a lot of effort, time and financial commitment. We had a record crowd and participation. looking forward to an even bigger event next year.
