The city is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission, which meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Applicants for the planning commission must be residents of the city, able to meet twice a month, and have an interest in reviewing development proposals, revisions to the city’s Comprehensive Plan and development code. The Planning Commission is comprised of seven citizen volunteers, who inform and advise the City Council, and get involved in the community.

In most cases, board and commission members do not need specialized training or experience. Members find the experience fun and rewarding by meeting people with similar interests, learning about the city, and helping shape the future of Mountlake Terrace. This term expires on June 30, 2022.

Applications are due Nov. 22, 2019. Visit the city’s website for more details and an application, or contact Virginia Olsen, City Clerk/Community Relations Director at 425-744-6206
